If you are looking for a quick working from home, instant complexion fix, with some skincare thrown in too, this could be it. Check out my review and before and after photos of the Clinique iD BB Gel. Here’s everything you need to know.
If you haven’t come across the Clinique iD franchise yet, let me recap a little. In a nutshell, the range offers up customisable skincare solutions tailored to specific skin concerns. You choose your moisturising base, you choose your actives cartridge, you put them together, et voila!
If you want a bit more detail about the different actives available, have a read of the blog post I wrote back when the range launched at the beginning of 2019 – Clinique iD Personalised Custom Skincare – How To Use It. The BB Gel is the next step in the line and offers a branch off into makeup.
What is Clinique iD BB Gel?
- 8-hour oil-free hydration & a sheer wash of colour
- Uses Transforming Tint Release Technology
- Encapsulated colour-blooming pigments provide soft, even coverage
- Sheer wash of light diffusing colour enhances & unifies skin tone
- Provides immediate hydration with a combination of humectants including Sodium Hyaluronate
- Minimises the appearance of pores
- Use with the Active Cartridge of choice – I use purple for lines and wrinkles
Before & After Photos
So I have been using this after my skincare and SPF (yes even when I’m indoors) when I just want to very subtly warm up my complexion, and make everything look a bit more even.
The above pic is just with the BB gel, however, it is great under a bit of concealer. Plus you can literally do a little pinky nude lip, and draw it on the the cheeks and blend too (I have been loving Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink* for this) and you’re done!!
The formula has a lovely, light, comfortable texture and doesn’t make skin look too shiny or too matte. It’s gives quite a nice velvety finish which is great for enlarged pores or uneven skin texture.
It’s such a easy win too because the blend is effortless – just takes a few seconds to work in. The gels transform to match your skin with just a touch more tan.
