I think we all need a bit of cheering up in our lockdown lives, so I have been speaking to my friends about the best feel good beauty and lifestyle products they are turning to, to give them a bit of a boost. So here are the Top Beauty Products to improve your mood during lockdown.

I don’t know about you but I have been doing loads of skincare at home, and although I think I may well be quite a few pounds heavier on the other side of this, I think my skin will be glowier!!

I think products that deliver instant results are real mood boosters and so I have been using my Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peel Pads loads. They literally get skin glowing straight away and I tend to use them after cleansing at night to ensure I wake up with near-to-flawless skin. You can buy them at Space NK* and Cult Beauty*.

The rest of my skincare is so much more effective when I use these.

My friend Sophie had a big long list of products she wants and is using during lockdown and for skincare her first recommendation is the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing balm. This is a skincare classic, removes makeup and impurities brilliantly and also lends itself beautifully to a bit of facial massage, which is wondeful stress reliever.

Order it from Space NK* (where you get a free Pro-Collagen skincare kit when you spend £60 on Elemis), Feel Unique* or lookfantastic*.

Sophie also picked out the Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask which is absolutely perfect for congested skin in need of a bit of a detox. It brightens and purifies, leaves skin radiant and pores looking tighter, whilst busting those blemishes. It’s also pretty gentle and calming thanks to the brand’s famous Hungarian healing waters.

You can buy it from Space NK* and Cult Beauty*.

I also asked my friend Lucy, and her top beauty product to improve your mood during lockdown is the Aesop Fabulous Face Oil. She raved about it so much that I now need it in my life!

Lucy said, “It’s perfect for when your skin just feels a bit dull and congested. My leaving present when I left Aesop was 10 bottles of the oil!!”.  Lucy has tried a lot of skincare so I totally want it!

You can buy it at Cult Beauty* and Look Fantastic*.

Body Care

I think you can make real gains in mood when it comes to what products you use in and out of the shower. Sophie recommends the Aromatherapy Associates Forest Therapy Bath and Shower Oil as one  of her top feel good products.

I think this is a particularly good one for when we are all stuck inside because it’s all about the restorative and emotionally healing benefits of Forest Therapy, a practice that involves spending time in nature amongst the trees. Seeing as we can’t do that too much right now, we may as well mock it up as best we can.

You can buy it at Space NK*.

Lucy loves the Jo Malone Red Roses Bath Oil. Bath oils are such a beautiful indulgence and a soak in the tub is the best antidote for an anxious mind for many. This one is literally like bathing in rose petals and leaves skin soft and beautifully scented.

You can buy it at Selfridges* with free delivery (using code FREEDEL), and of course Jo Malone*.

My friend Kim recommends the iconic L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil which is the best for soft, clean skin. It has the most beautiful transformative texture, from an oil to a milk, that caresses the skin while the fragrance soothes the spirit. You can also buy refills because L’Occitane work super hard to ensure we are kind to the planet as well as our skin.

You can order it at Feel Unique* and get the refills when you need them at L’Occitane*.

Hair Care

I need to jump in here because one of the things I suffer with when I am feeling stressed or tired is an extra flaky, sore scalp. I used the Drunk Elephant TLC Happu Scalp Scrub for the first time the other day and I am completely obsessed.

My scalp has been quite dry and flaky and this has improved the situation unbelievably! There are absolutely no visible flakes or dry patches on my hairline (where I tend to get them most) and the situtation all over my scalp is practically 100% improved. If you have an itchy, flaky or dry scalp, I can’t recommend this product enough.

You can order it at Space NK* and Cult Beauty*.

Sophie says she can’t live without her Olaplex No.3 Hair Treatment which is a pre-shampoo treatment that works to restore damaged or treated hair. Apparently Kim Kardashain is also obsessed with this one, and once you use it, you will never look back.

You can buy it from Cult Beauty* and Space NK*.

Home Fragrance

This is such a good category for lifting the spirits. I have been burning my beautiful NEOM Tranquility Candle which has lavender, basil and jasmine. This is such a beautiful treatment candle. It’s soothing, calmimg and looks stunning too.

You can buy it at John Lewis* and Selfridges*.

Kim suggests the super comforting Diptyque Feu de Bois candle that smells like you’ve got a lovely log burner on. If you buy the huge one, the jar makes an excellent jar once it’s finished. But that’s really only an option if you have quite a bit of spare cash.

You can order it at Space NK*. The massive one is here* – it’s a major treat.

I have recently discovered the brand new Clean Reserve Warm Cotton Candle. It is super comforting and smells like clean clothes. It’s a really beautiful sustainable and ethical brand that make stunning fragrances. They have just branched into home fragrance.

Check them out at Space NK*.

I really hope you find this round up of the Top Beauty Products to Improve your Mood During Lockdown. If you have any suggestions I should add in, I’d love to hear them.
