My Review

  • A little goes a long way
  • Full coverage that looks like skin
  • Dewy, plump finish with no shine
  • Weightless and long-lasting

The build up to trying this foundation was so long and I got so excited about trying it, I was actually scared that it wouldn’t live up to the expectation.

Thankfully, it really did. This is an absolutely brilliant foundation, I love it.

What is the finish like?

Apart from the fact that the formula is packed with skincare, I love this because the finish is just spot on. It is still radiant and glowy, although it’s designed to be satin matte, and it just works so well on my skin.

Is it good for mature skin? Can all skin types use it?

It is really flattering on pores, fine lines, and wrinkles, so it’s perfect for mature skin. However, it would work well on all ages. You’re never too young to up the ante on your skincare!

Clinique say this is great for combination and oily skins, however, I think dry skins will like it a lot too.

Is it easy to apply & what coverage do you get?

A little goes a long way and just half a pump will cover your full face, yet it’s so easy to build if you have areas that need a bit more help. In fact, you can really build it up, and it never goes cakey.

Application of the Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation is effortless, and the texture just melts into the skin and almost seems to blend itself.

Do you need to apply powder?

I don’t feel the need to powder it, which I absolutely love. So the finish I apply is the finish I keep, and yet the wear is still amazing.

I have also tried it with powder and it still doesn’t get cakey so that’s great news for the powder fans out there and those with oily skin. If you are prone to oil, you might want to lightly powder the t-zone.

With or without powder, everything layers beautifully on top.

Is it long lasting?

It lasts all day on my combination/dehydrated skin and stays looking juicy and plump. It’s just gorgeous. I have given it several full day wear tests that have included a fair bit of mask-wearing and its performance is excellent.

Does it oxidise?

I haven’t noticed any colour changing, so what you apply is what you get.

Where to buy it

The new Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation is available at Clinique* now. I thoroughly recommend it.
