Oooh! The Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm! I got totally and utterly over-excited when I saw and shared the first photos and info on these blushes. Now I have the actual product in my hand and it’s a real moment I have to confess. I have been looking forward to what I have been calling Chubby Cheeks for nearly as long as I’ve been writing this blog. The best part is, I am SO NOT disappointed. They’re gorgeous!! Get ready for a photo fest. I actually couldn’t stop!

Sorry! That was a lot of pictures but I really do love these chubbies!! The texture is really really really good! Although I always thought Clinique would be the first brand to bring out cheek sticks like this, they were actually beaten to it by a couple of brands including Boots No7 and Kiko.

I always found this a bit frustrating as I really believed that Clinique owned the Chubby Stick market. But I am now happy to forgive them for making me wait because they have seriously cracked this formula! Creamy cheek products are pretty hard to get right because you want them to last but you still want them to glow. Sometimes long-wear means ‘cake’ and sometimes glow means ‘slide’.

These have the most beautiful velvety texture that just smooths over the skin for a flawless, skin perfecting, glowing wash of colour.

I went straight for the Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Robust Rhubarb (a very pretty coral), did a few quick swipes on my cheeks and then blended it out with my fingers. This was on top of day-old makeup and it just lifted my complexion and made my skin look super luminous. I am in love! I can’t wait to properly try the other shades.

After the success of Cheek Pops, I think it is safe to say that Clinique are really nailing the cheek products right now! Everyone needs one of these Chubby Cheeks!
