I have been eagerly waiting to receive this sample from Clarins because, 1) I am becoming increasingly obsessed with the damage that UV and the environment in general is having on my skin and 2) I really trust Clarins to help me with this challenge. I am all about SPF50 and so very pleased to tell you about the brand new Clarins UV Plus Anti-Pollution Day Screen SPF50.

So this is basically the big sister of the Clarins UV 40 Day Screen that has been really popular. However, not only has the SPF been ramped up, but it also contains powerful skincare ingredients that also protect from pollution – the other enemy I am obsessed with. I know I sound mad by the way…I probably am. My friends definitely think I am. I avoid the sun so much that I actually look like I am incognito on holiday! Oh well…

I have it on my face right now, and I can confirm that the texture is indeed very light. In fact it feels like a serum as it is applied and then a couple of minutes later, I would hardly know I had applied it.

You give it a good shake and it comes out of the bottle pretty white, but don’t be scared by this.

Upon blending it becomes instantly invisible, leaving not a trace or tell-tale sign of a high protection product. My skin feels like it can breathe and my makeup applied just as if it wasn’t there.

You really couldn’t ask for more from an SPF! I am kind of over lines and wrinkles but for me it is all about avoiding the pigmentation that the slightest exposure to UV triggers.  I shall be applying this as the last step in my skincare routine before makeup to feel confidently protected. Excellent!
