I absolutely love love love love this gorgeous limited edition eyeshadow palette from Clarins for Christmas 2013. I love it not only because it is the most sumptuous selection of uber soft and wearable shades (there’s 10 with none I’d throw out) but also because it is something really quite different from Clarins.
This is Clarins The Essentials Mineral Eye Makeup Palette!

The Clarins Essentials shades, which go from beige to taupe to dark brown across matte, satin and pearl finishes,  are all mineral and plant based formulas, super blendable and so easy to apply. You can pick a combination of any of the shades and they all harmonise perfectly. I did a fairly subtle look, which has been bleached out a bit more by the flash of the camera, but you could seriously smoke it up for super sexy eyes. It wore really very well and looked like it had just been applied when I went to remove it 7 hours later. Not bad at all!
This is quite a departure for Clarins who have only done single shades, duo and quads up until now. Plus the palette is 100% recyclable and even the wooden brush meets eco criteria as it is made from birch arm sourced from sustainably managed forests.
You absolutely must take at peak at Clarins The Essentials Palette when it launches in October as a limited edition for Christmas 2013. My photos do not even begin to do it justice. It will be £35. Oh! If you want to know about the mascara – that is also Clarins!

Find Clarins The Essentials Palette at Selfridges, John Lewis, and House of Fraser. You should probably hurry!

  1. Oh my, this is beautiful! I’d never considered Clarins for eyeshadows before but I’ve fallen head over heels for this, just from your photos! It looks more wearable and daytime appropriate than other neutral palettes like the Naked 2, which is perfect for me as I find it hard to pull off strong eye makeup.
