I am loving the range of shades this year. I adore the deep, warm tones. I think the formulation is an improvement on last year too. The shades are soft and pretty pigmented, particularly the deeper shades at the end of the palette. I like them both wet and dry so it’s quite a versatile palette.
Clarins Essentials Palette 2016 Swatches

I have swatched all the shades first dry, and then wet, so you can see to different options available with this palette.

Wet Swatches

After being wet, the formulation dries down really nicely and quickly, so it can be used dry again without any issues. I love that is has a handy little brush in there and also the plastic insert gives some easy ‘painting by numbers’ tips on how to create a couple of looks. I always like a bit of help with my eye makeup as it can get a little daunting when I’m confronted with ten shades all at once!
The Clarins Essentials Palette 2016 is £35 and is available online here
