I had quite a lot of fun with the Ciate Feather Manicure kit last night – I have the Snow Owl set. Here’s the result:

I used quite a few different types of feathers so that you can see the variety of patterns available, but you could go for a much more uniform look if you wanted to.

It is actually quite easy to do and not as fiddly as I thought. Everything you need is included in the Ciate Feathered Manicure kit.

All you do is 2 coats of the base colour and then let it dry for 5 minutes. Then you do a generous coat of the top coat (I did one nail at a time) and then place the feather on and tap it down.

Trim the feathers then do the top coat again (you can do this in the opposite order if you like). Then you file of the edges (I used my file rather than the buffing blocks) and you’re done. I actually finished with a coat of Seche Vite because I was going to bed and wanted to make sure everything was set. That seemed to work very well.
I really like it! I love a bit of monochrome and this really is nail art that requires very little skill and as you can see, you could create quite a few different looks from one kit. There are enough feathers to last a really long time and you could use each feather several times. You could also use other colours from your collection.

I think these look amazing! They look fairly simple to do, definitely going to try them out.
