What Shades Are in Charlotte Tilbury The Icon Palette?
Charlotte says, “Since the beginning the time, Icons have shaped history wearing mesmerizing makeup, using it as an armour and a power”. Inspirations include Cleopatra, David Bowie, Marilyn Monroe, Naomi Campbell, and Salma Hayek.

Shade Descriptions
The shades are divided into four different looks and so they are much like the Instant Palettes. There is Day Eye, Date Eye, Diva Eye and Disco Eye. Although the looks run top to bottom, I have swatched the shades left to right as I usually do, to avoid any confusion. Let’s hope that doesn’t create any!
After the dry swatches, I have swatched all the shades wet too. They have a really special formulation. I love Charlotte Tilbury because she is always pushing the boundaries.

- Top (left to right) – Champagne, Gold, Dark Gold, Emerald
- Middle – Pink Gold, Copper, Golden Bronze, Sapphire Blue
- Bottom – Muted Cranberry Red, Bronze, Smoky Warm Brown, Charcoal “The Perfect Black”

Can you use The Icons Palette Wet?
Yes you can and it’s so special like this! Here are all those shades applied wet to demonstrate how the formula changes:

I have swatched lots of wet and dry formulas before, however, there is a key point of difference for this palette. These shadows are different because they instantly turn to cream when wet as a result of the ‘Wet Touch’ powder technology they are formulated with.
They very much resemble Charlotte’s incredible Eye to Mesmorise cream shadows after they are mixed with water. This makes them very special because I have never seen anything quite like this before.
