I tend to use Magic Cream when I want a really dewy, glowy base for skin, and I know lots of people that like it for when they are going out out (in the old days!) There are people that use the original daily without fail, but some that say it’s too heavy for every day use. Enter Magic Cream Light!

My Review

I’ve had this product for a couple of weeks now and I have to say, I have really been enjoying it. It gives a beautiful glowy look on the skin and it’s what Charlotte is calling a ‘polished radiance’. It makes a wonderful base for makeup, keeping the complexion looking juicy and dewy and will definitely be a good lighter option for oilier skin types.

It has a lighter texture (obviously!) than Magic Cream, but it still has a luxurious richness that dry and dehydrated skins will enjoy in the summertime. The formula has such a flattering finish on the skin (like a matte silk) that you could consider skipping foundation and going in with a touch of concealer, just where you need it.

It also works really well lightly pressed or buffed over makeup when you need a glow boost and a protection top up. I’ve been loving it like this.

I love that it has SPF 20 in, and also pollution and blue light protection. I like to use a defence products even when I’m inside, especially as I sit near windows and am also always in front of a screen! Importantly, there is no flashback or white cast with this formula.

Anyone that is averse to cream in a pot, will love this because the Light comes in a gorgeous pump dispenser that feels really heavy and luxurious.  It is made of glass and is chic and simple. If you like your products to look good in your bathroom or on your vanity, this will really tick the box.

User trials were conducted over 8 weeks with 211 men and women and:
