I have had so many requests for this post and I know exactly why. Everyone adored the results of Charlotte’s first Legendary Lashes mascara but many found that due to the balance of nourishing oils the formula used, it smudged. It looked amazing but the longevity just wasn’t quite there. So! Charlotte went back to the labs and fixed the problem. Get ready to welcome the brand new Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume 2. Charlotte says, “Legendary Lashes Volume 2 is my most MIRACULOUS mascara yet, giving over 500% more volume!”. Exciting!!
If you haven’t tried the first edition then you may need a bit more background. It was formulated using a blend of nourishing oils and conditioning ingredients to give really gorgeous, glossy, healthy lashes but many fans were desperate for it to be more long wearing.
Having listened to the feedback, Charlotte went back to the labs and reformulated the mascara. This time it delivers the Hollywood lash effect mascara but it’s also long-wear, smudge-proof and humidity resistant.
- After 1 application lash thickness increased by 108% (tests on 103 women over 7 days)

So essentially, CT released a mascara which smudged and now she promises this one won’t smudge, which begs the questions:
‘Why did you release a mascara that smudged in the first place?’ And –
‘Why should we believe you this time as you alleged the last one didn’t smudge?’
sorry – who is this question addressed to? Me or the brand?
I loved the first edition and never had any issues with smudging….
How does Volume 2 compare to the first one? The after photos look great btw…
It is a big splurge for a mascara but I have not yet found any other mascara which gave such great volume (and I have been hunting!). Let me know if you can suggest a dupe as Charlotte Tilbury is very expensive in Australia, thanks!
