Oooh! This is fabulous! Of course, all the Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson excitement is happening now after literally months of anticipation, but I just feel I need to pause that for a second and flag up this rather interesting addition to the complexion and sculpting portfolio! There’s a new shade of Filmstar Bronze and Glow in town and it is going to be just perfect for summer. Here’s a look at the brand new Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Medium Dark shade.

So the original little bronze and sculpting palette has a hardcore army of fans. Strangely enough, and I honestly have no idea why, I don’t actually own it. I have the new cream version from the Norman Parkinson collection and it’s delish, but I never picked up the powder version. Weird.

Well it seems I am going straight in at the deep end with this new shade extension, as this little palette means business when it comes to bronzing the skin and giving a glow.

If you have seen the cream version, you’ll see that the shades are not too dissimilar to that – much warmer and deep, and more golden.
It uses the same sleek, rose gold 1920s cigarette case inspired packaging and the same super fine powder formulation with Light Flex Technology to illuminate the skin, but the shades are that bit more intense.

If you want more of a summer bronzed look, then this is seriously going to do the job. Think honey bronzed skin and the kind of light the setting sun casts on your complexion. I want to run and fake tan immediately and whip on a bikini for uber chic ‘shade-bathing’. I don’t do sun! That’s a new term I learnt from Sarah – thanks Sarah if you’re reading!

I have to say, it is maybe a tad too much for my pale skin right now, but with a bit more summer faux-glow, I think I could totally work this. Anyone with a natural tan will literally be dialling up that sexy summer vibe 100%.

And yes! I have green lashes (not CT). I thought they would help with the summer vibe – news on those soon. I am not actually sure myself!
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Medium Dark launches in August 2015 and costs £49 like the original. Find Charlotte Tilbury at Selfridges.

I think it might be worth mentioning that this product was created specifically for women of colour who cannot use the original and not just as another option or random addition for those who can.
