Well I have written about this and mentioned it rather a lot but I hadn’t actually been able to hold it in my hands and look at it until now. If I had holiday blues (which I did just a little bit) then this put paid to that! Here’s a close up look at what’s inside the very beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Book of Makeup Magic.

For a start, I absolutely love the packaging. It looks exactly like the prettiest fairytale book with an abundance of rose gold (my fave) and a gorgeous lifelike book spine. Love it!

The Charlotte Tilbury Book of Makeup Magic is not so much an advent calendar and more a collection of treats as it contains 12 boxes each filled with something special from the Tilbury line up. I like this because it makes it a bit more of a flexible gift that could actually be given on Christmas Day and all opened at once or enjoyed well into the New Year. Personally, I wouldn’t be able to wait!

It’s an absolutely wonderful line up. I love that Charlotte has included a full size Matte Revolution lipstick and it just happens to be in my favourite shade, Red Carpet Red. I carry it with me in case I need to look dressed up. It’s the perfect Christmas lip. And you just may fall in love with the Goddess Skin Clay Mask. It’s amazing.

As I said, I don’t think you have to treat this like an advent calendar. It would make a wonderful Christmas present for a very lucky beauty lover.
