The name of this foundation completely made me buy it. I know that the Les Beiges line is all about that naturally perfect skin look and as for healthy glow? Well that’s what I dream of! I have been testing the new Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation for a few days. Here’s how I got on. I have before and after photos for you to check out.
The only other foundation from Chanel I have tried is Vitalumiere Aqua which was recommended to me by my friend Fleur. I did really like it, but I didn’t fall in love with it because I just found it a little too sheer for me. When I had a little play with Les Beiges in store, I knew that it was more my type of skin base – it has the kind of thicker, creamier texture that my skin really likes. Here’s what Chanel are saying about it.
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation Features
- Invisible foundation that creates a natural healthy glow
- Gives skin the radiance of a day spent outdoors with “Healthy Glow Booster” mineral pigments
- Protects from harsh environmental conditions with Kalanchoe extract and UV filters (SPF25)
- Soft and comfortable texture glides over the skin and melts away
- Texture becomes imperceptible and allows the skin to breathe
- Soft Focus powders even out the complexion and give a sheer finish
- Hyaluronic acid derivative provides an instant sensation of hydration and comfort that lasts all day long
As I said, I love the texture. It is creamy, yet light and feels really nice on the skin. I found that shade No 20 was the perfect match for my skin tone.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation – Before/After
Before:
After:
The first couple of times I tried this, I used one of my fave brushes, the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush, and it just wasn’t working too well for me. I found it a bit streaky and that it kind of sat on top of my skin. For the last couple of days, I have gone back to basics with fingers and everything is going so much better. I have been really working it in with my fingers tips and this really helps it to become one with the skin and invisibly blend away.
I find that I do have to set it with powder, especially on my t-zone which does get oily throughout the day. It isn’t the longest lasting foundation ever, but I find that is usually the compromise you have to make with a glowy foundation like this. A little bit of powder every few hours stays on top of the situation I find. Without powder, oilier skins will need a top up or two.
I love that it has SPF25. It still feels really light on the skin and the finish is beautiful – really great on my enlarged pores and definitely worth the few extra minutes really working it in to the skin then setting it. There’s no buyers remorse at all here. I will continue to use it.
