So this is a micellar water with a difference to many you see on the market because it has added skincare ingredients to actually help treat the skin as well as clean away surface dirt.

  • Gentle formula that won’t disrupt the skin barrier, microbiome, or skin pH
  • Doesn’t cause dryness, irritation or sensitivity
  • Alongside the micellar technology that lifts away dirt, the formula contains a blend of essential ceramides and niacinamide
  • Ceramides work to support skin function and hydration
  • Niacinamide (a form of Vitamin B3) acts as an anti-inflammatory
  • Suitable for all skin types including sensitive
  • Non-comedogenic and ophthalmologist-tested

How to use CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water

This is a super simple first step in cleansing and is perfect for removing makeup before you actually cleanse the skin.

All you need to do is apply the CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water with a cotton pad and wipe over the skin until it comes away clear. You can follow with another cleanser to fully cleanse the skin.

Also, it can be used alone for a light cleanse if you haven’t been wearing makeup or SPF. This makes it perfect for your light morning cleanse, or after a workout when skin is already clean.

Is CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water good for your skin?

This formula is enriched with a blend of ceramides and niacinamide. Because it’s a no-rinse formula, these skin-loving, barrier building ingredients stay on the skin and deliver an anti-inflammatory and strengthening effect on the skin.

My Review of CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water

CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water
CeraVe Micellar Water

This is a lovely micellar water that feels super gentle on the skin yet effectively removes makeup including eye makeup and mascara.

It breaks down makeup really quickly, and I find that it takes a couple of soaked pads to get everything off. I then move on to another cleanser to make sure that my skin is properly clean.

If you’re interested in checking out the cleansers I really rate for all skin types and budgets, make sure you have a read of my Best Cleansers for 2023 blog post.

I find that the CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water doesn’t strip my skin at all. It has a very neutral effect in a way that my skin feels clean, but not like I have actually applied anything, if that makes sense?

I love that it has niacinamide and ceramides in, which work together to strengthen the skin barrier and minimise inflammation and sensitivity. It’s the perfect quick cleanse in the morning, both pre- and post-workout, to refresh the skin without disturbing the natural balance.
