I think I may have found my perfect every day SPF product. When I was in Bloomingdales in New York I got talking to the Space NK sales assistant about the Cane & Austin Ultra Sheer Weightless Sunscreen SPF50 and was in love with it before I even tried it. And then when I tried it, I loved it even more!

Every dermatologist I speak to tells me that for ultimate protection from UVA and UVB damage, I need to wear at least SPF 30 daily, and ideally SPF50. Because I really do want ultimate protection (for my face) and because I like being teacher’s pet (!!), I generally opt for SPF50, and this one from Cane & Austin is amazing.

True to its name, it is very sheer and definitely weightless. In fact, it is so weightless that sometimes I am not sure I have put it on. I pop it in after moisturiser and before foundation and everything works really well together. Here’s it is just after it is applied:

The Cane & Austin SPF50 is completely transparent and leaves no residue at all. It also had added skincare ingredients – anti-oxidants (green tea, vitamin E and Co-Q10) plus organic UV absorbers. It contains no oil, fragrance, alcohol or parabens. It is basically perfect!
If you want the security of high protection that you can completely forget about, then I can’t recommend this enough! Cane & Austin Protect Ultra Sheer Weightless Sunscreen SPF50 is available at Space NK for £32. It’s some of the best money I have spent.

I bought this last summer and am completely in love, it’s perfect, no white cast on my darker skin, high protection and like you said sits well under make-up!!!
This sounds like a really good SPF. I’m currently using Clinique’s City Block, but think it’s only an SPF 25, so I might pick up this one afterwards.
