I adore concealer and so I was super excited to get to grips with the brand new correctors from By Terry. They come in a really wide range of shades and can be used alone, on top of foundation and also for contour and highlighting. Excellent! Here’s a look at the By Terry Stylo Expert Click Stick Concealer with swatches of all twelve shades.

So if you have ever tried the Click Stick lipsticks from By Terry that launched last year, you will recognise this format. The pens use a one-click delivery system with a difference, as they are solid creams and not liquid.

The applicator has a teardrop shape for precise application and it makes them very easy to use. One word of warning, don’t go click crazy because it’s a one way system – once the colour is out, it doesn’t go back.

The texture is soft smooth and creamy. It applies effortlessly straight from the stick and then blends and melts into the skin either with fingertips, a sponge or a brush.

Because I am fortunate enough to have all the shades, I decided to try these out on a makeup free face and use a few of the different shades to conceal, brighten, and highlight. It was fun!

I didn’t try to contour because I found that the darker shades were too warm for my skin tone and came up looking a bit orange when I tried.

Before & After

I absolutely love the finish of this. To start, I used shade 2 like I would my regular concealer. Next I used shade 1 to highlight and shade 4 to correct shadows and pigmentation and balance the bluish tones on my eyelids. I buffed everything in with a foundation buffing brush.

After

It gives the skin a very perfected yet natural skin-like finish. Pores were less noticeable, fine lines appeared blurred yet it didn’t really look like I was wearing anything. You know when you apply foundation and nothing else? Your skin looks much better but you look like you are wearing foundation but haven’t finished your makeup yet. With this little combo, I just looked like I had pretty flawless skin and I wasn’t in a rush to finish off the rest of the process.

I know I used three shades but I think I could easily get away with just using shade 2 to achieve a pretty flawless complexion. That one is my correct match for concealing, I believe.

Where to buy?

I love these and if you are looking for a new concealer I’d definitely recommend trying these. Not only do they really perfected finish without looking like makeup, but they are super hydrating too.

  • Thank you so much for swatching the shades — it helped me tremendously when trying to figure out which would be best for my skin. Look forward to reading more of your thoughts on the rest of the collection.
