My Review

I am absolutely thrilled with this new pressed version of one of my favourite powders. This is high praise, because I am not really a fan of powders in general but the Hydra-Powder never fails me. The pressed powder does everything that the original does and I have found applying it with a medium-sized fluffy brush to be the most effective.

I’d say the only difference is that if you want to apply more of the powder, you will have to layer with the compact, whereas you can simply pick up more product with the loose version. And if you are a fan of ‘baking’ then the original one will be more for you.

I love that one of my favourite powders now comes in a handy compact with a mirror. Like the original, it has a super-fine and silky texture that smooths over the skin, blurring pores and texture, reducing the ‘bad’ shine but never dulling radiance. It sets foundation beautifully without the fear of ever looking powdery.

I think there will be a whole lot of happy customers come launch day.
