I mentioned the brand new Burberry Eyes campaign starring Suki Waterhouse in the first edition of ReallyRee TV Beauty News and I’m pleased to say that I have the Burberry Eyes Collection here and it’s stunning.
Burberry has earned a place among my favourite makeup brands of late because the quality in terms of textures and application is just brilliant, not to mention beautiful packaging and presentation. I love it.
The Burberry Eyes collection includes a series of new mascaras, eyeliners and brow definers. The current obsession with all these elements in makeup right now suggests to me that these will be a huge hit! The range has been developed by Burberry Make-up Artistic Consultant Wendy Rowe who is absolutely amazing.
Wendy worked with the creative direction of Burberry’s big boss, Christopher Bailey, to create a range was all about a “youthful look of naturally sculpted, full brows with defined eyes and enhanced lashes.”
She says, “The new Burberry Make-up products effortlessly create the illusion of a natural, larger eye.“ I am ALL for that!
Burberry Eyes Collection – The Mascaras
There are 2 new mascaras which each give a slightly different finish. There is Bold Lash Mascara which delivers intensely volumised, bold lashes. It has a creamy densely pigmented formula and a cone shaped brush.
The other one is Curve Lash Mascara for lifted, fuller lashes. This is a smudge-proof, lightweight formula with a precision brush to volumise and curl the finest, flattest of lashes.
Both mascaras are available in two shades – Ebony No.01 and Chestnut Brown No.02 – and both cost £23.
Burberry Eyes Collection – The Liners
There is the Efforless Liquid Eyeliner (£23) which has an ultra-thin tip applicator to deliver rich, long lasting colour with precision. It has a rubber grip design which helps to give you lots of control and accuracy. It comes in Jet Black No.01.
Also in the collection is the Effortless Kohl Liner (£18) which is designed to outline eyes with long-lasting definition and intensity, or to use on the inner lash line for a softer look. It has a waterproof and highly pigmented formula and comes with a retractable tip and built-in sharpener. It is available in four shades: Jet Black No.01, Chestnut Brown No.02, Storm Grey No.03, Pale Grape No.04.
Burberry Eyes Collection – The Brows
Finally we have the Effortless Eyebrow Definer for £22.50. Brows are still HUGE business and I am really excited about this little beauty. Dubbed as “the essential tool to effortlessly create the signature Burberry Brow as previewed at theBurberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2015”, it promises to deliver a natural, buildable look, with its smooth powder formula.
It has a slanted tip applicator makes it easy to create a precise shape plus a soft brush to sculpt, style and fix. Available in 2 shades – Sepia No.02 and Ash Brown No.03.
So far I have just had a quick play with all these, but they are going on my face today, so stay tuned for more updates!
