I love love love love love love Bourjois! Sorry for the over enthusiasm but I am feeling very festive and I just had a lot of fun playing with these gorgeous new Bourjois Colorband Eyeshadow Crayons. I love a crayon and I love easy eye makeup because I find it pretty hard, so these are brilliant.

Before I start, I have to be honest and say I am not loving the name. Bourjois Colorband doesn’t sound like an eyeshadow crayon in my mind – it just seems a bit odd, but maybe it makes a bit more sense if you’re French?  I’d have liked something a bit more arty sounding, although I actually can’t think of anything that isn’t just ‘eye crayon’ so maybe I am being a fussy. I just don’t get the ‘band’ part but it’s totally irrelevant anyway!

So here’s the scoop. Bourjois Colorband Crayons are 2-in-1 eyeshadow sticks that have been designed to deliver beautiful eye looks in seconds. You know that idea that a chic Parisian woman looks amazing without having to try hard at all? Well this is that in a stick!

You simply draw them on, smudge and blend with your finger and you’re good to go! That always sounds good to me. The formula promises to hold for 24 hour without fading or creasing. It is super creamy and blends so easily with the slightest touch. You can use them as block colour, as a contour, along the lashline or all of the above!

I am loving all these shades and I think that 03 and 04 would make amazing bases to intensify powder eyeshadows as well as really natural looking eyeshadows for a fresh simple look. I also love the mauve shade – I think it would be a perfect soft pop of colour on its own. The beige can be used in the inner corner to brighten the eyes and the black or grey smudged into the lash line delivers an instant smoky eye.

They are fab! I wore the bronze shade  pver the lid today with the black along the upper lash line today with the Clarins eyeprimer underneath and it has lasted all day. Very happy!  It gives a soft iridescent finish which is super smoothing and flattering.
