I love a BB Cream and, as I have been showing you quite a few pricey things recently, I thought that today I’d concentrate on a few nice things I have been playing with from Boots.
This is the Boots No7 BB Cream for Dry/Very Dry Skin which I really rather like.

It comes in 2 shades – fair and medium – and the range also includes a variant for Normal/Dry skin and Combination/Oily skin. My skin is particularly dry at the moment, so No7 BB Cream in Dry/Very Dry is the bad boy for me!
Here’s a little swatch for you:

As you can see, fair doesn’t look that fair but it really suits my pale skin well and blends easily.
Here is a photo of me with no makeup as the before shot:

Not sure why I look so happy to be bare-faced! I apply it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, although it goes on equally well with just fingers.

And here I am with the Boots No7 BB Cream fully applied:

As it first goes on it appears a little grey but this diminishes as you blend and means it is not orangey at all.
I really like the finish – it is dewy and glowy but feels matte to the touch. It isn’t slimy and heavy like some attempts at BB creams can be. I also find it stays in place quite well. The coverage is light moving towards medium and is actually quite buildable, so I just layer more onto my t-zone where I have more redness.
Because the feel of the finish is fairly matte whilst still looking luminous, I haven’t used any powder with it and  have been happy with the result.
Here it is with the rest of my makeup.

This has SPF15 which is a little on the low side for me but it does have 5 star UVA/UVB and is definitely adequate for now.
Boots No7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream costs £12.95 and is currently on a 3 for 2 deal at Boots.

  • I think I may have to try this. My skin is getting better and better since I started to take skin care more seriously and now have no need for foundation for every day but still need a bit of something. I was thinking of Les Beiges for special days and this looks ideal for day to day stuff.
