I have been testing this new tan from Bondi Sands and getting on very well indeed. Here’s my review of Bondi Sands Aero Aerated Self Tanning Foam. I can’t get through Jan without a tan!

I held back from trying this because the packaging made me think it was a clear, colourless formula, and I do not get on well with tans with no colour guide! I’m not sure why I thought that because thankfully, this product instantly tints the skin as you apply it, so you can see where you have been.

I’m a long time fake tanner. I don’t tan naturally and can’t stand the look of my pale grey skin, so self-tan is a constant in beauty regime year round. I particularly rely on it this time of year when I am feeling a bit yuck and out of shape post-Christmas. There is nothing like a bit tan to shave off the look of bloat and smooth out the skin instantly.

The tan I use all the time and have been for years is the Fake Bake Flawless Liquid*. I am so used to it that I just grab it every week and I always get a good result with a lovely natural colour. You can’t go wrong with it. Another tan I reach for if I want a fast tan is the Sienna X Express Mousse*. I mainly stick to those, but it’s fun to try new products and I really like this one.

What is Bondi Sands Aero?

To be frank, there is nothing super-super new here. It is a self-tanning mousse like others I have tried before but the formula is ultra light and silky, feels lovely on the skin and dries down really quickly.

My Review

Bondi Sands Aero is really easy and pleasant to use. I had a great experience with this.

I am super pale. Lots of people don’t realise because I always wear tan. In fact, I’m not sure that even I appreciate how pale I am because I rarely allow my skin to get back to a state of nature. I have pretty much forgotten exactly how that looks and I sometimes get a shock when I don’t tan for a while!

I have the Light/Medium Bondi Sands, and although I’m pale, my skin can handle a darker tan, so I did one application with a mitt, then waited 30 minutes and applied again, as advised if you want to go a bit darker.

The first layer went on effortlessly, dried quickly and it’s the kind of tan that you can get dressed with and let it develop throughout the day. The second coat wasn’t quite as smooth in terms of the colour guide, so I’d recommend only one coat if you’re tanning in the day time.

I absolutely loved the results of this tan. With two coats, the colour guide is pretty dark as it rinses off in the shower, but it doesn’t wash away the lasting colour. I was left with a beautiful, even and natural looking tan. It turned out really well on my hands and feet, which are areas that can sometimes be problematic.

I have had it on for four days now and the intensity has lasted well and the tan is just starting to fade really evenly without any patches which is brilliant. It hasn’t dried out my skin at all which is another bonus. I’m impressed. I’d definitely opt for the Dark instead of Light/Medium so I don’t have to do two coats.
