OK, this is probably going to come across as less of a review, and more of a ‘oh my goodness, why has no-one told me about this amazing exfoliator before’ kind of thing. But please bear with me…
So…. oh my goodness, why has no-one told me about this amazing exfoliator before??!! I completely love it! Not only is it lovely, super easy to use and feels great, it has delivered lovely results. It leaves my skin super soft, very hydrated and has definitely helped to refine my pores and brighten my skin.
Now it’s not cheap – £28.60 for 125ml from Boots – but you don’t need a lot and used twice a week, the tube will last for ages. It has a paste-like consistency – thickish cream packed with rice starch – perfect for spreading straight onto dry skin. You then gently massage it over the skin. It feels kind of masky, and I occasionally leave it on for a few minutes before adding a little bit of water to work it into a lovely lather.
I generally wash it off in the shower, because I find this is the most effective way of getting rid of every last grain of a scrub, and then follow with a toner. By this time, my skin is glowing, but without the redness that is often associated with exfoliation.
It contains lemon oil for brightness and vitamin C to protect the skin from free radicals and is probably one of the nicest and most effective face scrubs I have ever used. I LOVE IT and I’m not alone.  Origins tested Modern Friction on a panel of 54 women. After just one try, of those who had undergone clinical micro-dermabrasion, 94% said they would now consider using Modern Friction instead.

I would recommend it for all skin types. Mine is dry but if you suffer with sensitivity, use it on damp skin rather than dry.

For more info visit Origins or Boots.

And back to the original question, where had this scrub been all my life??!
