Bioderma are dubbing this as the first anti-redness dermatological BB Cream and it promise 7 skincare benefits:
  1. Reduces redness – Bioderma’s exclusive ROSACTIV patent prevents dilation of red blood vessels
  2. Cover redness – coated iron oxide pigments disguise redness & blemishes
  3. Soothes – anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant ingredients stabilise, hydrate and soothe the skin
  4. Evens & illuminates – instantly colour matches
  5. Moisturises – glycerin and allantoin promote hydration while canola oil prevents moisture loss
  6. Protects – SPF30, organic chemical mineral filters
  7. Smooths texture – reticulated powder gives velvety finish
As always I have tested it out so you can see what it looks like on my skin. Here’s the before shot:

I like this finish. At first I thought it would be too dark but it blended in really well. It has done a great job of disguising the redness around my chin, forehead and nose and I think the semi matte finish means I could get away without powder. It feels really light on the skin despite the SPF30 and a fairly thick consistency. The dense formula means that it offers fairly good coverage which is buildable, so it could definitely work well instead of a foundation.
This is a great option for those with sensitive skins although it is suitable for all skin types. The best news is that it’s out now for £14.50 at Escentual. Right now you get a free 100ml Bioderma Micellar with purchase. One shade suits all, however, I do think it could be a bit on the dark side for very fair skins.

  • I’m glad you likeit! I don’t think it’s the right product for me though, but I do like Bioderma as a brand.
