The brand new Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation promises to look like skin and feel like nothing at all which sounded very appealing indeed. I have been having a play with it and have some before and after photos for you to check out. Here’s what  you need to know.

The packaging of this new foundation is so cute. I love that it has a smiley face on it! It’s also really neat and compact.

I have one shade to show you, which is a little too dark for my skin tone, but I have some before and after photos anyway, just so you can see what it can do.

I have shade 4 to show you:

As you can see it has a lovely creamy texture that’s really easy to blend. You only need one drop to start with, and then you can add further drops if you require more coverage.

Before & After Photos

As this shade is a little darker than I’d normally go for, I used small amounts of product at a time and blended it in really well before adding more. It is pretty sheer, so I found that it needed building up, and while it blurs imperfections, you can still see skin through it.

Shade 4 (medium neutral) actually works better on me than I thought, but I do tend to prefer a paler base and then I add in warmth after that. I think shade 3 light neutral is the perfect one for me. It has a lovely soft matte finish and works very well on enlarged pores and fine lines with it’s blurring action.

Right now, I am more into a really juicy, dewy, almost glossy base, but this natural matte is very flattering and feels super comfortable on the skin. I really like it.

The Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation is £25.50 but currently £21.67 HERE (at the time of writing).

  • Was in Debenhams in Cork (Ireland) and spotted this yesterday. The lady at the counter told me they’re offering a money back guarantee on this foundation after a month if your not satisfied with it. Not sure if this applies to all Debenhams stores but I think it’s running until the 18th of June as far as I remember. Tried it on the back of my hand and it seemed nice but I’m on a foundation spending ban as I have far to many as it is so I didn’t purchase.

  • Hi Ree!! I’ve been following you forever but have never left a comment. We have very similar skin tones (I base a lot of my foundation/base shades off of ones that suit you) and I just got shade 3 in this foundation and its a PERFECT match; I think you might like it! I also like to leave my base a little paler then warm it up with bronzer.
Thank you for the review and I LOVE your blog!!

    • AMAZING!! Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I now have shade 3 so will update the photos soon! Thanks!! I am excited to try it now! So happy you love the blog – it’s a pleasure having you! xxx
