Benefit know how to do a good blush so I was really excited to try out this brand new one. Here’s a look at the very gorgeous Benefit GALifornia Sunny Golden Pink Blusher that just launched.

I love Benefit’s blushers. Rockateur is my favourite, although I have to say, this new little beauty is giving it a serious run for its money. Gold and pink? Sign me up!

First up, I absolutely love the packaging. It is in the same ‘Box O’ Powder’ format as the almighty Hoola and the other face powders, however, this time the artwork is inspired by vintage 1970s California surfer girls with the most beautiful sun design embossed in the pan.

It is SO pretty, and it smells so good!

GALifornia Swatch

I absolutely love this gorgeous mix of pink and gold. It’s important to note that the gold you see in the pan is an over-spray which does eventually rub off (see below), however, this doesn’t make the shade of the blush any less beautiful.

I have applied it quite heavily here to show you, and I have to say, I am loving a bold blush look at the moment.

The blush gives the skin a beautiful and fresh flush of colour and applies easily and builds without overloading the skin. It really brightens the complexion and gives it the look of freshness and youth. And the texture is really nice – a beautiful fine powder that blends effortlessly. Lovely!Just in case you are wondering, the lipstick is VB Nude Spice Matte.
