I don’t think we are getting the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Slimlight pens in the UK (Update- now on sale here!) but I was keen to see what they were like so I ordered Champagne Pop and Topaz. I have them here to show you with swatches and some chat about how I got on. You can see me playing with these on snapchat too.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Slimlight Features
- Targeted wand that highlights and brightens specific areas
- Designed for precise higlighting
- Gives a subtle, mattified luminosity
- Twist up crayon applicator

With it’s references to mattified luminosity, I am assuming this is a similar formulation to the Poured variety of Shimmering Skin Perfector. It’s a more softly glowing look and the texture is brilliant for dry and more mature skin types. I actually love to set Poured with the original pressed powder champagne pop for serious glow.

This slim pens allows easy application into the nooks and crannies of the face; you can use it in the inner corners of the eyes, down the bridge of the nose, in the hollow of the chin, and on the Cupid’s bow. It is also handy for highlighting the arch of the brow.
Topaz is too dark for my pale skin to use as a highlighter, so I tried it on my lids as a shadow and it worked pretty well set with a powder shadow.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Slimlight Swatches
Champagne Pop:

Topaz:

I think that the thing to note is, the Slimlight Champagne Pop really isn’t as pigmented as the Poured variety. Check out this swatch comparison.

This is such a shame as it kind of makes the whole thing a bit pointless I think. Unless of course you are looking for a paler version? I don’t know – personally I am not completely sold. There is also one in shade Pearl which I didn’t get but you can check it out here.
The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Slimlights are US only so far and available HERE for $28. I had mine shipped to the UK.
UPDATE now available in the UK to order online here

Tried them out but was quite disappointed. i’ll stick with the powder and the poured.
same I think xx
oh and the CP liquid. Love that!
These have just become available on cult beauty – not sure whether to go for them or not.
I think they are handy – I like Topaz and I think the Pearl one would be ideal for inner corner, brow bone and cupid’s bow. I just think that Champagne Pop isn’t as pigmented as the Poured version. x
