Coconut is a huge trend in beauty and nail polish formulas are getting more and more like skincare. It is all very exciting. Barry M is one of my absolute favourite high street brands for nail polish and their latest launch is pretty hot. Here’s a look at the Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paints. Buy them HERE.

So these new polishes have been designed to be worn without base coat, and in fact, skipping that step is positively encouraged in order to gain the full benefits of the nail care aspect of this product. I have to say, I like the sound of that, especially when I was facing the task of swatching all 9 shades as quickly as I could!

Now if these were strong, deep shades, then the no base-coat theory would be a little difficult for me to stick to, as I have a very porous nail surface that loves to suck up colour. However, this is a range of extremely pretty milky pastels and not scary at all.

It is hard to pick a favourite but Laguna is up there as is Flamingo and Bikini. They are all very pretty and wearable.

Application is a very easy job – 2 quick coats and you’re done. Great if you’re running out the door and need cute nails fast. The brush is perfectly shaped; nice and flat and tapered to fit the nail bed. Just how I like a brush.
