There are a couple of new additions to the bareMinerals Blemish Remedy franchise that are set to join the foundation next month – a skin prep gel and a Blemish Remedy Concealer. I have given the new bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Mattifying Prep Gel a whirl. Here’s the info.

bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Mattifying Prep Gel Features
- Lightweight gel formula
- Glides on to the skin
- Dries down immediately
- Delivers an invisible matte finish
- Visibly reduces shine
- Preps skin for smooth makeup application

bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Mattifying Prep Gel Key Ingredients
- Aspen Bark and Tea Tree Oil -help promote clearer, radiant skin
- Peptide Complex – unique blend of Saw Palmetto, Reishi Mushroom and a specialized Peptide to help keep skin looking healthy and clear
- Oil-absorbing mineral – helps keep skin looking fresh

I applied the Mattifying Gel through my t-zone – not forehead but nose, on the enlarged pores around my nose, and chin) where I usually have a fair bit of shine. It feels really light and refreshing on the skin and sinks in quickly leaving a smooth and comfortable finish. It doesn’t have a silicone-y feel and is actually pretty weightless. You just need the tiniest amount.
I am currently testing it under my glowiest foundation (which can get quite shiny) the Armani Maestro Glow.

As you can see, it still allows the skin and foundation to glow. I shall update how it fares as soon as I can, so stay tuned.
bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Mattifying Prep Gel is £22 and launches April 2016 in UK. It is already available in the US – find it HERE.
