If you like high coverage, long wear foundation with a natural finish, then you are going to absolutely love the latest innovation from leading mineral makeup brand, bareMinerals. I have been testing out this foundation and it’s a winner for me. If I want something softly matte, and pretty invincible, then this is what I’d go for. What I really like about this is that it is such a buildable foundation. One drop will cover the whole face easily, and then the more you use, the fuller the coverage becomes.

There’s a massive 30 shades in the collection and I have shade Natural 11, which I think is a pretty good match.

Before & After Photos

There is actually a special brush – the bareMinerals Luxe Performance Brush – which has been created specifically for this foundation, however, I managed to misplace that before I had a chance to try it! I have just been using a regular buffing brush and getting on very well anyway.

I start with one pump and blend it into the skin in a light layer all over the face. This gives a really nice, natural looking coverage that perfects the skin without looking cakey or overly matte. You can then build it up in any areas you think you’d like more coverage – for me that’s under the eyes, around the nose and on the chin – for a super flawless finish.

What I absolutely love about the bareMinerals BarePRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation is that it sets itself so there’s no need for powder. It has a gorgeous soft and creamy texture that glides over and blends into the skin effortlessly and it is super lightweight. I also love that it has papaya enzyme to gently exfoliate the skin as you wear it – I always appreciate a bit of help on the skincare front!!

Finally, it really does last. I have combination skin as you know, and I find this even stays in place in the t-zone without breaking up. If you were particularly oily, I’d imagine a light layer of setting power would be all you’d need. Excellent!!
