I have heard loads about this concealer, I have even had samples (in the wrong shade) but it has taken until now to give it a go! And I’m really pleased I did! The lovely folk at Cult Beauty managed to suss out my correct shade of Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer and sent it over for me to try. So! As I said this is a full coverage concealer and this means that the tiniest little bit goes a very very long way. I completely over did it the first time I used it and the amount you will see in the swatch could pretty much cover a whole face rather than a couple of eye bags.

Now I feel like I should have done these before and after photos with no makeup and then just the concealer, but at the same time, I always apply concealer on top of foundation. So I decided to do them in the way I would use it. I am not sure how helpful this is, so just shout if you’d rather see a no makeup before and after (you can Tweet Me).

I applied it under my eyes to cover the bluish tones I have and also around the nose and chin areas to cover redness. I am really pleased with it.

I love the texture. It is fluid, yet thick, if you know what I mean, and it is seriously pigmented. As I said, you need the teeniest little blob. I’d recommend challenging yourself to squeeze out the smallest amount possible and that would probably be enough.

It blends in really easily. I used my fingers, but I think it would also work really well with the Real Techniques Contour Brush from the Core Collection as it is perfectly tapered and is great for blending smaller areas.

Even though the texture is pretty thick, it actually feels very light on the skin. Although it sets really nicely, it has enough emollients in it that it doesn’t dry out, or sink into fine lines. I think the key to this is to avoid applying too much, as I’d imagine if you go overboard, it may start to act up. It is waterproof so will be perfect for long days or holidays.

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer comes in 8 different shades at Cult Beauty for £19.50. They have a really cool guide to shades – take a look, you’ll like it. If you have tried this, let me know what you think.

  • Hi Ree, I just wondered, does it last? My concealer seems to disappear by lunchtime and I’ve tried loads of different brands and formulas. Haven’t tried that one x

    • Well I have only tested it for a few hours so far but it didn’t budge. It is suppose to be life proof so I have high hopes. I am going to try it all day today. Give me a shout if you want an update! xxx

  • Hi Ree! I just commented on your post about Trish McEvoy instant eye lift, and now I am wondering which concealer you like better – for under eyes!

    • Hi again!!

They are both good – I think the Trish one is probably more brightening, but the Amazing Concealer is more heavy duty. Does that help?

Also, By Terry just launched a really nice concealer – I haven’t had a chance to play properly yet but it’s very promising! xxx
