The newest lip launch from Yves Saint Laurent is the YSL Slim Sheer Matte Lipstick. There are six shades and I have photos and swatches here.

I absolutely love the packaging of these lipsticks. They are so chic and sleek and they fit easily into your makeup bag. The formulation is quite unique, as sheer lip colour is normally always in a glossy or satin finish. These are matte.

I really love the texture of these lipsticks. They have a gel-like formula that feels super creamy and comfortable on the lips. The creaminess is long lasting – it doesn’t disappear which is often the case with many matte lip colours.

All the shades have a really luminous quality and the texture is very smoothing and flattering as it uses blurring technology. You can go for a light flush of colour by patting it on, or layer it up for a more intense effect. The shades are really easy to build so you can achieve a range of looks that all have an airbrushed quality.

The nude shade 106 is so pretty. It’s a ‘your lips but better’ vibe and so easy to wear. My other favourite is 108, which is a stunning true red that can be worn as a light velvety stain, or built up to make a soft matte pop of colour.
