Youthful Essence Review

PhotobucketWhen I first had the opportunity to try out the Youthful Essence programme I was just a tiny bit sceptical. But you know what?… I absolutely love it.

And this is for a few reasons. The set has a whole lot to offer and I haven’t even gotten round to trying half of it. The system works around the main exfoliating component, the Resurfacing Tool.
Everything that I have tried has been super effective.
The first product I want to talk about is the Facial Warming Cleanser.
This is a lovely gentle product. You apply a small amount to wet skin and massage while it cleanses, loosens dead skin cells and generally prepares skin for exfoliation. It leaves skin feeling clean yet still hydrated.
I have also applied it to my dry skin before going in the shower and then used the Resurfacing Tool (which is waterproof) with the Spa Cleansing brush attachment whilst in the shower. I have done this on days when I won’t be exfoliating.
I have been exfoliating 2-3 days a week.  For this you use the Resurfacing Tool, with the small sponge and the Resurfacing Cream. With the small sponge on the tool, dip into the pot of exfoliating cream and then dot it all over the face.
I then turn on the gadget and massage it over my face for a few minutes (up to five).
It does take a bit of rinsing because the crystals in the Resurfacing Cream tend to stick to the face, so I have found it easiest to exfoliate before the shower and then rinse it off in the shower, to make sure you get it all off. There’s nothing worse than trying to apply your makeup and still feeling the grit.
Once rinsed, gorgeous soft and glowing skin is revealed. Really. Here’s a photo I took after the first time I used the Resurfacing Tool and Resurfacing Cream to exfoliate.

Sorry about the squinty eye. It’s just the face I pull when taking a photo of myself. Attractive! The things I do for this blog!!
After exfoliating, you apply the Skin Enhancing Serum which says it ‘‘moisturises and plumps the skin, making it look smoother.  It reduces the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles while protecting your skin.”
I would say this is a pretty fair claim. After exfoliation, the skin drinks it up and is left looking lovely. Lines are definitely softened and there is an all round glow. Love it!!
Makeup then goes on like a dream and I have been feeling really skin confident.
I would definitely recommend this system. It does exactly what it promises to. Also there are loads of other attachments to make it suitable for use on the body and feet too. I haven’t got round to trying these features out yet.
I’m hooked.  For more information visit www.youthfulessence.co.uk

Can’t wait to hear from you
