How to use the Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm

Use this as you would any cleansing balm. You simply warm a small amount between your fingers and then massage over dry skin to melt away makeup and impurities.

Add a splash of water to emulsify and continue to work over the skin before rinsing away or using a cloth to remove.

You can also use this as a mask by applying a thin layer and leaving it on the skin for 10 minutes before removing.

My Review

I love a cleansing balm, and I love Weleda’s original Skin Food (it features in my Best Moisturisers 2024 round up) so I kind of knew I would like this even before I tried it. This is a lovely super effective cleanser and it’s very affordable at £12.95 for 75ml.

The texture is gorgeous. It has a lovely silky oil-balm texture that melts into the skin easily and starts to break up makeup as you work it over the skin.

It turns into a soft milk when you add a splash of water, and then rinses away really nicely. I like to use a cloth or cleansing pad for that little bit of extra exfoliation, but it does rinse away cleanly so you can just use water if you prefer.

The Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm has that instantly recognisable Skin Food aroma, that just makes me feel like my skin is getting a hug.

It will be a great one for travel because it comes in a lovely compact tube and will fit nicely into your travel bags.
