I wasn’t expecting VB to launch cleansers, I must confess, but as a cleanser obsessive, I was very keen to see what has been done! Here’s the low down on the Victoria Beckham Beauty Daily Cleansing Protocol which has two cleansing options.

My Review
I absolutely love a good double cleanse at the end of a long day and I enjoy taking my makeup off nearly as much as I do putting it on! My double cleanse of choice is usually an oil-based cleanser followed by a lighter gel or cream cleanser, so the premise for this duo really works for me.
And I have to say, this is a really great duo. The oil is super fine and slips over the skin beautifully breaking down all types of makeup effortlessly. It has a very elegant and enjoyable texture with no detectable fragrance.
It’s very pleasant to use and doesn’t leave a heavy feel or residue on the skin. I use a cloth to remove which leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. I then move on to the second cleanse.
The Lactic Acid Gel Cleanser again has a very fine texture that is more liquidy than I was expecting. In fact, I actually love this cleanser way more than I was expecting to.
It is a really good gel cleanser and I feel that it is very effective in smoothing texture and congestion. It acts like a gentle acid toner to remove dead skin cells and leave the skin completely clean, yet it doesn’t strip away the hydration that the oil cleanser leaves. They work very well together.
Also, the packaging is so nice (my photos don’t do it justice) that I am tempted to hide away all of my other skincare products and just live a VB life!! They look SO chic.
I suppose the question is, is the duo worth the £100 price tag? In terms of other luxury cleansing offerings, let’s consider one of my favourites, the Cle de Peau Cleansing Oil. £100 for the duo which is 100ml each, puts the pricing way higher than Cle de Peau which is a much more established brand when it comes to skincare.
The Cle de Peau Cleansing Oil is beautiful and so effective and you get 200ml for £66. If you bought the VB Cleansing Oil individually, it would cost £60 for 100ml, or £50 if you buy it in the duo. It is actually very close to double the price of Cle de Peau, which is not a statement I expected to make!
I do think that £100 for 200ml of cleanser all together is perhaps a bit too pricey. However, the products do work very well and the packaging is stunning, so it basically depends on if you want it enough and if you can afford it. Simple as that.
My favourite products from VB Beauty are the Kajal Liners. If you want to check out all the shades, read: Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liner Review & Swatches.
