I love Vichy. To me it’s a high-end, high street brand; accessible and affordable that delivers results. I have avidly used products from their Idealia and Normaderm Range (I can highly recommend the Normaderm Night Detox).

Vichy have just launched Slow Âge; a clinically proven probiotic skincare range that slows down the appearance of ageing. During 9 years of research Vichy found that 80% of the developing signs of ageing can be caused by lifestyle and environmental elements. Find it here
Vichy Slow Âge Ingredients
Vichy Slow Âge is formulated with three active ingredients:
- Baïcalin – a potent antioxidant derived from traditional Chinese medicine. This helps protect from daily aggressors.
- Probiotic-derived Bifidus – (yeah I thought of the yoghurt too). Reinforces the skin’s barrier against UV and pollution and other environmental stress.
- Vichy Thermal Spa water – found in most Vichy products; contains 15 minerals sourced from the volcanoes of Auvergne.
Vichy Slow Age also claims to give you a “beautiful velvety feel” which provides 24-hour hydration and providing you with broad spectrum UV protection and SPF 25.
They have three items in the range; Daily Fluid, Daily Cream and an Eye cream. I went for the Daily Fluid as this is what was recommended for combination skin (and can I add how great it is that they have adapted this range to suit different skin types).
The formula is very thin and glides on to the skin easily, a little really goes a long way. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, but I did feel like it left a very fine film behind. I typically wait about 20 minutes before applying my makeup.

My overall thoughts: Don’t expect dramatic overnight results, this is very much a preventative skincare. However, I did find that my fine / dehydration lines around my eyes were reduced (my highlight tends to bunch up around here). I do think this is a great product, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the texture so I can’t see myself reaching for it. That being said if you find something in the range that suits you I don’t think you will be disappointed. Find Vichy Slow Age Moisturising Fluid here
