A wonderful new skincare brand just launched into the UK and I have been trying their newest product which is a beautiful face mist. If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know I’m  mist obsessed and this is a particularly gorgeous one. Here’s the lowdown on the VENeffect Skin Calming Mist.

First, here’s a little bit of background on the brand. VENeffect was created by two sisters I had the great pleasure of meeting last week. Rebecca Booth is a gynecologist and Cecil Booth has worked in the beauty industry for thirty years, and together they pooled their knowledge to create an innovative skincare collection to look after women’s skin in an intuitive way.

The entire range is completely focused on what the sisters call The Venus Effect. This is when a woman is experiencing peak vitality and beauty which coincides with when estrogen levels are at their peak. Estrogen has been proven to increase collagen content, elasticity and the production of hyaluronic acid. Therefore, changing hormone levels throughout the month and the years can be responsible for changes in skin quality.

Based on their thoughts about the Venus Effect, Rebecca and Cecil Booth then spent seven years developing the VENeffect skincare range which aims to address the hormonal ageing process with an advance phytoestrogen complex. This is plant-derived estrogen that works to restore collagen and increase elasticity, thus helping to reverse the signs of ageing.

This is a really beautiful mist, not least because a lot of work has gone into the delivery system which means the product comes out in a cloud-like mist and is so pleasant to use.

This is such a gorgeous mist. You can use it after cleansing to add in an extra layer of hydration before serums and moisturisers, use it to set makeup and add a dewy glow, and anytime you like during the day to refresh and calm the skin.  The mist is so fine that it won’t disturb makeup and is fragrance free so you can use it anywhere. I love it!
