If you are a skincare junkie but yet to encounter the beauty phenomenon that is the dry sheet mask, then you may be interested in this. It is certainly a growing category. I have been testing the brand new Trish McEvoy Instant Solutions Dry Sheet Mask which is really very good. Here’s what you need to know.
The Trish McEvoy Dry Sheet Mask is a waterless, re-usable mask.

So the key point to consider about a dry mask is that the formula is able to be more active than a wet mask which tends to be around 85% water. Also, it’s completely mess free and really easy to use.
You simply tear open the pouch, unfold the mask and place it over the face (logo side on skin), hooking both sets of loops over the ears. You then lightly massage the mask to trigger the release of the actives.
It doesn’t feel like it’s doing much, but then after 15 minutes you take it off and it feels like you have applied a really good moisturiser. It’s quite incredible. Skin looks calm, smooth and firm. It’s almost magical.
The whole process is very similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Sheet Mask which is also great. I haven’t used that one in quite a while so I can’t properly remember how moisturised my skin felt after, but it definitely had a great effect. This Trish one is similar, if not a bit more moisturising – I think my skin felt more moisturised with this one. I’d need to try the Tilbury one again to be sure.
How does it work?
In essence, the ingredients melt into the skin as the mask and moves and rubs against the face. The water-free formula means that results are longer lasting than traditional sheet masks because there’s no evaporation.
