Throw in the fact that it doesn’t dry out the skin, fades evenly and doesn’t go patchy and this is a hot favourite with the Really Ree team. Not a fan of dark tan? There’s a light/medium version too.
The other great thing about this tan is that unlike many others, the biscuity fake tan smell is noticeably absent. Just use a tanning mitt to get the best, streak free effect.

There are so many things to love about the St Tropez Gradual Tan. Firstly, it’s tinted so you can see where you’re applying it- vital for a subtle, streak free finish. Secondly it contains cosmetic powders to blur the appearance of imperfections on the skin- the fake tan equivalent of a snapchat filter!
Another thing we at Really Ree love is the complete absence of the fake tan smell and the gel like consistency of the lotion which means there are no surprise drips or stains to deal with.

This medium tan from Fake Bake uses coconut oil to care for the skin whilst amping up the glow. It has an amazing serum-gel texture that melts straight into the skin, with the dark pigment guiding you as to whether you’ve applied it evenly.
As well as hyaluronic acid for moisture and coconut oil to care for the skin it also includes silk amino acids to prevent dehydration.
The colour guide is fairly dark so it’s important to wear gloves during application then leave for 4-6 hours before washing off to reveal a natural, even, streak free soft tan.
This product is similar to the St Tropez In Shower tan except with one important difference- there’s no three minute wait before you can shower it off. Instead, this product can be washed off after one minute- about the time it takes to apply it to your whole body, so there’s none of the hopping around cold and damp waiting for the timer to go off.
It’s a slightly strange product in that it feels oily on the skin and doesn’t really seem to wash away, but the key is to blot it gently with a towel rather than rub once you get out. It then develops into a lovely streak free tan over the course of a few hours.
One point to note- there’s no colour guide as you apply it in the shower so take special care to apply it carefully on the feet to avoid blotchiness.
