This rather gorgeous Tom Ford launch snuck online without a lot of fuss and has quietly been selling out very fast! Here’s a look at the very beautiful Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Lips which comes in six shades. I have photos and swatches for you.

Now, this is a limited edition launch so I think if you manage to see a shade you like of the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Lips available, then you are basically going to need to grab it, or never see it again (well not for a while anyway!). Right now, they are still available HERE.

So the idea with these is that you can create customisable ombre lip effects with the light and dark shades in these lip palettes. This launch is very in tune with the Tom Ford beauty ethic, which is all about the play of light and dark on the face.

I haven’t messed around with much ombre lip art, but I do know that if you concentrate the darker shade around the outside of the lips and place lighter hues in the middle and centre, then you can create a much fuller look and give the illusion of a whole lot more volume. It is basically a contour trick and these lip duos give you the perfect contrast shades and textures to create it.

I have three of them here to show you. The texture is beautiful, creamy and luxurious. I find the nude shade more matte than the others.
