I am quite new to candles. For a long time, I couldn’t bear the idea of spending so much money on something that you literally just burn away, but I have done a complete U-turn on this way of thinking over the last couple of years. I have seen the light – the candle light!!! Oh stop.
There is no better way to set the scene for a bit of luxurious relaxation than lighting a good quality, fragranced candle, and this new discovery from Timothy Dunn is certainly no exception. Here is the Arabian Fig Limited Edition Christmas candle.
The fragrance is absolutely amazing. I am big on fig – totally love it and I have to say this is one of the nicest figgy blends I have come across. If the idea of a Christmas candle doesn’t do it for you, do not fear!!
This is not your typical Christmas candle in a predictable sense at all. This is a beautiful warming, luxurious and comforting scent that will get you feeling comfy cosy in no time. This candle is absolutely delish! Oh goodness I love it!
This is what it’s all about. Apart from the fig at the heart of the fragrance, it has a beautiful blend of basil and clove with frankincense derived from the Arabian Peninsula. I am not really a lover of clove, but it is so light and subtle and sits perfectly among the other ingredients.
The top notes are fresh cassis, rose and jasmine with base notes of sandalwood, cedarwood and musk. The perfect combination of light as air and thicker, heavier, moodier… but not too thick, heavy or moody, just gorgeous.
I am finishing this up now so I can get back to sniffing it – which I have been doing after every line I write.
The Timothy Dunn Arabian Fig candle is available for £45 (with silver lid) and is at Liberty, Fenwick Bond Street and www.timothydunnlondon.com
By the way, Timothy Dunn is the best selling candle range in Liberty, and now I know why.
