Well you know that I love an eyeshadow palette and neutrals work for me so well. I had my first experience of theBalm when I visited the Birchbox store in New York and I love its vibe. It is kind of like Benefit meets Urban Decay and this line up has some absolutely gorgeous shades. Here’s a close look, with swatches, of theBalm Nude Tude Palette.
When I first opened this palette I was like “ooooooh!”. There are some seriously luscious shades in here and I just love the playful names – they kind of help me pick which one to choose depending on how I am feeling. Such fun!
I love the fun packaging. It has the cardboard setting which I used to hate but it actually makes makeup really light to travel with and also it’s such a protective material for eyeshadows – if you drop them, they are much less likely to shatter.
theBalm Nude Tude Palette Shades
- Sassy – frosted white
- Stubborn – soft peach
- Selfish – taupey bronze
- Sophisticated – bronzey dark brown
- Sexy – burgundy brown
- Serious – matte black
- Snobby – yellow gold shimmer
- Stand-offish – champagne nude
- Sultry – warm medium brown
- Seductive – golden bronze
- Silly – sheer brown with copper sparkle
- Sleek – blackened brown
Isn’t it gorgeous? As you can probably see, all the shades are really soft and pigmented and there’s a great mix of neutrals here with both cool and warm shades. I particularly love Stubborn, Selfish, Sexy, Stand-offish and Seductive. What does that say about me? As I said, it’s so much fun choosing the shades with these names!
You can buy theBalm Nude Tude Palette at Superdrug for £26.50. It would make a lovely little present.
