Mary Lou Manizer from theBalm was one of my first highlighter true loves, so I was extremely excited to learn that a brand new sister was joining the family. Here’s a look at theBalm Bonnie-Lou Manizer Highlighter and Shadow.
Bonnie Lou is quite a stunner. I think it is going to go down really well as it’s a super flattering shade and our obsession with highlighter is showing no signs of abating … at all.
theBalm Bonnie-Lou Manizer Highlighter Features
- Finely milled, super smooth texture
- Highly pigmented
- Champagne, peach-gold shade
- Can be used on cheeks and eyes
- Butter feel, no glitter
So far, Mary-Lou has been my favourite from the Manizers highlighters and I kind of felt that it would always be my favourite. However, this new addition is really beautiful.
It is a stunning peachy gold and offers a softer darker shade than Mary-Lou. I think it will be amazing for all skin tones and particularly great on darker tones when you are looking for something a little warmer and deeper.

I love the dewy finish on the skin. It gives it a beautiful wet look without texture or chunkiness.
It’s just gorgeous and the formulation easily equals the quality of Mary-Lou.
And Bonnie-Lou herself is pretty stunning. I do really enjoy the packaging from theBalm.
In case you are wondering how different it is to Mary-Lou, here’s a quick look at her. As you can see, the shade is a much lighter, cooler gold.
theBalm Bonnie-Lou Manizer Highlighter is £20 and will be available soon. I am not exactly sure of its launch date for the UK but I will update as soon as I know. You can shop theBalm products HERE & HERE.
