The Lipstick Queen Low Down

Yesterday I went to lipstick school, Poppy King style, and I learnt about everything THE Lipstick Queen has to offer. From Saints and Sinners, to Chinatown and the Big Bang, Lipstick Queen has it all covered. Here is the low down. 

Let’s start off with the Saints. The Lipstick Queen Saint lipsticks have 10% pigment and the rest is waxes, moisturising agents and all that good stuff that give a lipstick slip. They give a brilliant hit of colour but it is sheer and super comfortable.

How amazing is that colour? And although it is sheer, it still has a beautiful impact.

With these lipsticks there is no compromise between comfort and colour. The Saints are like grown up lip glosses.

Next up, the Sinners!

The Sinner is a complete flip on the Saint. This is a 90% pigment, opaque lipstick that it more matte but still very creamy. Again – no compromise on comfort with colour.

Here is the Lipstick Queen Sinner in Bare Nude:

Such a pretty neutral with a soft helping of pink and peach.

As you can see, although matte, it is still creamy and moisturising, and it feels very comfortable on the lips.

Another exciting Lipstick Queen offering is the Chinatown Glossy Pencils which, I am told, were the first lip crayons of their kind.

They come with their own sharperner and are beautifully packaged pencils of gorgeously pigmented sheer gloss. This is a swatch of Lipstick Queen Chinatown Thriller.

This is a one-shade-suits-all, super moisturising, sheer lipstick that gives you the ‘your lips but better’ look. It is perfect for every day and one you can throw on and feel great.

Next, say hello to Lipstick Queen Medieval!

This is all about lipstick that suits everyone inspired by Medieval times when lipstick was not allowed and instead women would rub lemon on their lips to redden them. It would be their own colour, and Lipstick Queen Medieval mimics this.

There is also the Lipstick Queen Butterfly Ball collection which is inspired by butterfly winds with their turquoise iridescence. This one is called trance – you can see the incredible butterfly effect at the tip of the bullet.

Finally, here are the Lipstick Queen Big Bang Glosses. They are incredibly glossy, with a lacquer finish but are not at all sticky. It is quite amazing. If you touch them they just feel super moisturing and you can almost rub them in like a cream with no tackiness. Incredible!

When I removed the swatches of Big Bang, my hand felt so moisturised.
