So I didn’t even think I liked liquorice but I literally cannot stop chomping my way through the tub of Lakrids No. 1 that arrived in a parcel with the brand new fragrance from The Body Shop, Black Musk Eau de Parfum.
I am not kidding. I was literally like, I’ll just have one to get into the spirit of this fragrance because I’m not really a fan of liquorice and now I physically cannot stop putting them in my mouth. Surprising how well it goes with a good cup of tea. Anyway, this is serious digression because this post is supposed to be about The Body Shop Black Musk – which actually has a liquorice root accord. See the link?
And did you know that liquorice is also known as Lady’s Viagra?! I do hope that isn’t why I am still stuffing it into my mouth (and still going on about it for that matter!). Blimey…
ANYWAY. I have to be honest and say that I never really taken fragrance from The Body Shop that seriously until Italian Summer Fig came along and I loved it. I loved the new style packaging, the sleek bottle and of course the figiness itself. Really good. And now I am rather taken with The Body Shop Black Musk EDP.
The Body Shop Black Musk Eau de Parfum Notes
The Body Shop are framing this as the darkest and most sensual of their musk fragrances and it certainly is a sexy little number. It features black musk (obviously), liquorice (which I can’t stop eating / talking about), pear, pink pepper, bergamot, heliotrope, ylang ylang, black vanilla and patchouli.
It is smooth and sweet without being sickly and has a soft woody base that’s set to last really well on the skin. It’s a wonderful winter scent.
The Body Shop Black Musk Eau de Parfum is set to launch 3rd November 2015. Find The Body Shop here. I hear it also comes in an oil.
