SUQQU Summer 2016 UK Colour Review & Swatches

This May, SUQQU are launching their first ever UK exclusive makeup collection inspired by ancient Japanese colours. SUQQU do some of the most beautiful lipsticks ever and I have completely fallen for one of the new quads. It’s incredible. Here’s a look at the SUQQU Summer 2016 Colour Collection with swatches.

SUQQU Summer 2016 Eyeshadow Palettes

Now these really are gorgeous. Each palette contains 3 super creamy matte shades and one sheer, shimmery shade that can be layered or used alone.

EX-30 Hekikai Swatches:

This palette takes its shade inspiration from the sea. The colours aren’t my kind of colours but it’s a stunning palette all the same. There’s bright white for highlighting, navy for contouring (a beautiful hue), an accent of bright lime green and a shimmering turquoise.

EX-31Gyoukou Swatches

Now this palette is my kind of palette. I have become pretty obsessed with orangey tones for the eyes (ever since Too Faced Peanut Butter in the Semi Sweet Chocolate  Bar Palette) and this orange is beyond perfect.

The quad has taken its inspiration from a warm summer sunset and it literally glows. The brown and orange can be used separately or mixed to contour the eye or lay down a base shade. There’s also a cream highlight and a shimmering gold. It’s perfection.

I have been using the cream over the whole eye, the orange in the crease, the brown in the outer ‘v’ and the gold pressed over the lid. It’s a beautiful soft, smoky modern look.

SUQQU Summer 2016 Lipstick Swatches

If you haven’t tried a SUQQU lipstick, you need to have a play because the formulation is wonderful. They give you the juiciest, most hydrated lips ever and the shades are always flatteringly luminous.

There are 2 new shades for 2016 – EX-20 Hyaku Daidai, vivid coral and EX-21 Sen Ka, a bright pink with blue undertones. They are even more pigmented than before and give full coverage in an easy swipe.
