When it comes to eating superfoods I have to say I am a little slack. Sometimes it’s just so easy and quick to throw something together for convenience sake, so my intake of superfood has definitely decreased with my current lifestyle. I do try and grab a smoothie and eat greens whenever I can though. So, when I saw Tropic Super Greens Nutrient Boost Serum I knew I had to try it. I mean it’s like feeding your skin with what it needs and a dose of vitamin all in one serum.

I have been using Tropic Super Greens Nutrient Boost Serum a little over two weeks now and so I thought it was about time to give you my thoughts on this beautiful little thing. First of all, let’s talk a little about the brand. Tropic was created by BBC Apprentice contestant Susan Ma and focuses on natural and more importantly cruelty free products.

The serum itself ticks all the boxes for me as it is housed in a handy pipette applicator so you can control the application. It contains concentrated Kale, Maca Root Extracts and Chlorophyll that penetrates deeply into the skin providing an instant vitamin boost and revitalising dull skin. It also works well for troubled skin as it contains Organic Tamanu Oil which helps with inflammation, scarring issues and also heals breakouts leaving your skin even toned and clear.

The scent of this oil is pretty ‘green’ too, just like you’re making a green juice but you’re putting it onto your face instead. Although the scent is strong it doesn’t linger on your skin after it is massaged in. However, if you’re pretty sensitive to smells then this might be a point  to consider.

I have been using this more in the evening as I like to really treat my skin. I massage 4-5 drops into my skin post toner and I find this really helps it to sink in whilst I sleep. Some days when I wake up and my skin is looking a little dull and grey I pop a few drops with my moisturizer and thanks to the Caffeine Rich Coffee Extract my skin is left looking radiant and feeling silky smooth. I like this oil since it combines so many different oils together such as Marula and Kendi Oil to soothe any irritation and lately I have been having some pesky breakouts.

Ingredients- Kale Leaf Extract (nature’s rich source of Vitamin K), Green Coffee Oil to supercharge your anti-ageing game and protect skin against free radical damage, Maca Root Extract which increases Collagen production for firmer and younger looking skin, Tamanu Oil to repair skin, Sea Buckthorn Oil to treat any Rosacea and or Acne and Marula Oil which is rich in Omega 9 to keep skin soft and reduce redness.

I have been using this oil a little over two weeks now and I can already see a difference in my tone and texture. I get to try a lot of skincare products. Nonetheless I have been sticking to only this for the past 2 weeks and it definitely delivers fabulous results.

Overall I think this is a great skincare product and it’s definitely a shot of vitamin to the skin all packed in one bottle. I really love the fact that the oil is super fast absorbing and can be used during both day and night time. I tend to have horrendously dry skin during  the colder months and my dry patches are pretty prominent but since using this I find that it keeps everything balanced and my breakouts have been under control.

Bottom line I definitely would recommend this oil as I find it to be very effective even for my dry/dehydrated skin. I like the fact that it is all natural and Tropic is definitely a brand I haven’t tried before so it was all new to me. I can see myself reaching for this to give my skin a dose of vitamins and it would definitely be great to use as a post party treat.
