Some great news for natural skincare lovers! Australian brand, Sukin has launched into Boots and it offers up an extremely comprehensive and affordable range of products for us to get stuck into. I have been getting stuck into the masks in a big way! Masks seem to be a global obsession in beauty right now and so I have been doing some multi-masking with the Sukin Masque range and having quite a bit of fun with it! Here’s the low down.

I’ll give you a bit of the back story for Sukin just quickly. The ethos behind the brand is that it’s skincare that doesn’t cost the earth. It’s a natural brand, born in Melbourne, Australia and created to satisfy a demand for affordable, natural skincare solutions.

Sukin have a very broad skincare offering and a selection of products have launched into Boots. This means we now have easy access to highly effective natural products developed to cater for all skin types across the Facial Skincare, Super Greens, Oil Balancing + Charcoal, Sensitive and Rose Hip ranges. Exciting! There are four gorgeous masques in the line up:

  • Hydrating Facial Masque  – Rich mango seed butter, avocado and olive oils provide intense hydration and protect the skin’s moisture barrier. Papaya and pineapple  provide enzymes, vitamins and fruit acids to nourish the complexion for a smooth and healthy glow.
  • Purifying Facial Masque  – purifying base of gentle Kaolin clay combined with soothing aloe vera and antioxidant rich rose hip oil will leave skin feeling refreshed, nurtured and completely clean
  • Detoxifying Clay Masque – clay based masque infused with the super green blend of kale, spirulina and parsley to promote a clean, health and youthful-looking complexion
  • Anti-Pollution Facial Masque Plus Charcoal – Bamboo charcoal, rooibos tea and willow herb target impurities to keep pores clear. Quince aids in limiting shine and reducing the visible appearance of pores

There was a time when you slathered one mask all over your face and that was it. However, right now we have adopted a much more sophisticated and bespoke approach to our treatments. We like to call it multi-masking!

Sukin Masque Review – Multi Masking

I had great fun with the Sukin Masque Range and dreamed up an exciting cocktail for mask time. I used the Purifying Facial Masque on the oily part of my forehead. Although it’s oily there it’s also a little sensitive and the rosehip is nurturing enough to prevent any sensitivity whilst it purifies the skin. I also used it on my upper lip.

I used the Hydrating Facial Masque on my cheeks, neck and the dryer bits of my forehead. It feels so gorgeous and soothing and seriously plumps up the skin and makes it glow.

Because there are two kind of detox masks in the range I decided to share them about on the oilier parts of my face. I went in with the big guns with the Oil Balancing & Charcoal Anti-Pollution Facial Masque on my nose and enlarged pores by the side of my nose and the Detoxifying Clay Masque on my chin.

Each mask is super gentle – even the detox ones – and there was no feeling of dryness or tightness. I washed them off in the shower and they all mixed over my skin and felt nourishing and calming. I used a wash cloth to make sure everything was removed. My skin was left feeling calm, balanced and glowing.

I think four masks in one go is a bit much (although it was real fun) but I think the bests ones for my skin type are the Purifying Facial Masque and the Hydrating Facial Masque. If you have really oily skin the Charcoal one is excellent – really effective but still super gentle!

You can find the full Sukin Mask selection (£11.95) HERE along with the complete skincare offering. The Super Greens Facial Recovery Serum is also gorgeous! It’s light and super hydrating – like a cross between a serum and an essence. Lovely!
