I was particularly keen to try this because I love a sheet mask! To be completely honest, I use fake tan all year round by never tan my face because I find it can be a bit ageing. Also I love the brightness that leaving my face pale delivers and I use a bit of bronzer so that make face doesn’t look too different from the rest of me. But curiosity got the better of me with this, especially because I am pretty addicted to masks.

I decided to give this a whirl  and I had three options:

  • 5 minutes – light sunkissed glow
  • 10 minutes – medium golden glow
  • 15 minutes – deeper golden tan

How to Use

As I tend not to tan my face I decided to go for the lowest time and just leave it in place for 5 minutes. You need to make sure that you have washed your hands after you apply and try to avoid touching the mask while you are wearing it. I found this a little tricky as I have a habit of smoothing my sheet masks as I wear them, but I only touched it once and just quickly washed my hands in case anything happened to my fingers!

The mask feels super hydrating and comfortable whilst it’s on, and when I removed it, I simply massaged the excess serum into my face and blended it down my neck and over my ears. You need to make sure you wash your hands again. Then I carried on with skincare. I was largely makeup free the day I tried it, and I could see a little glow starting a few hours later. The following day I had a very natural looking sunkissed look from just 5 minutes of the mask.

 

Because I don’t tan my face, I don’t the St.Tropez Self Tan Express  Bronzing Face Sheet Mask will be a regular addition to my routine but it was fun to use and I loved the fact that it hydrated rather than dried out my skin. I’d imagine you’d get a bigger boost in hydration if you left it on for longer, so perfect for those that like a deeper tan. I’m not sure if you really need it, but it delivers on its claims if you’re interested in trying it.
