Spongellé – Zodiac Collection Review

Spongellé (pronounced sponge·gel·lay – fancy right!) is a body buffer infused with moisturisers, exotic oils and gentle cleansers. It promises to deliver a luxurious bathing experience for both body and mind whilst keeping skin youthful and glowing.

Air (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) – Fresh Tuberose

Earth (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) – Lavender and Sea Salt

Fire (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) – Spiced Neroli This is the one I received as I am a Leo. 

Water (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) – Lotus Bloom

It arrives in a lovely box (with your star sign traits which I think is a lovely touch) and the buffer is a star shaped buffer to reflect the zodiac theme.

How to use Spongellé : moisten buffer with water (the buffer has a built in body wash so no need to add your usual shower product). Squeeze to release the lather and massage over body. The time-released lather creates an indulgent experience which cleans and exfoliates skin leaving it nourished and silky-soft.

I have used this buffer a few times and have enjoyed it on every occasion. The negatives are that although I’m aware that it’s designed to be a buffer I found that the Spongellé sponge was a little hard (even when run under water) and when in the shower a little awkward to moisten as the water just bounces off.  I also found that it made my skin a little tight after use (which is uncommon as I don’t have sensitive skin at all). It is worth noting that due to the inbuilt product this has 15+ uses. However this is a really cute, unique product, with such a nice sentiment behind it – perfect for a present.
